American Folk Root Blues Meets English Folk

This is the Encounter Three!

Late one night in the bar Chris Smith (Euclid Avenue) was talking about his passion for American folk root blues, and other types of music that have come about in that tradition.

“This is folk music, you know,” says he.

“So why don‘t you come in on a Friday night and show us what you mean?” says I.

And what a night we had! A lot of people came, so we had to do another - This is the third encounter, and it looks as though it has become a regular on the calendar!

So come along and join us.

Alex (harmonica and electric guitar) and Rich (percussion, and he promises to have a light touch!) are joining us who usually play with Euclid Avenue, and many others too.

This is the third time American meets English!

Chris Smith, of Euclid Avenue, regularly plays at The Grove on other nights of the week.

Chris is collecting together a number of singers and musicians from the Leeds area - ready for the fray!

We should be in for an interesting night, and of course everybody is welcome.

We will be fielding a strong team of Folk at the Grove regulars!

Sam Barrett is the photograph, and we should have lots more faces and detail for you soon.
